The Drop/Count Counter is responsible for collecting funds and TITO tickets from gaming activity and counting them.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Thorough knowledge of fundamental mathematics.
• Ability to perform fast and accurate mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work closely with other team members.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays, nights and weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.


• Perform the collection (drop) and count of Slot funds
• Perform the count of KIOSK, Table Games and other financial areas assigned.
• Count currency.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Gaming industry experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of fundamental mathematics.

This position does not exercise any supervisory responsibility.


Using the primary language identified as English, the following is required:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies and procedures, directions, reports and other working documents.
• Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in small group situations.
• Bilingual beneficial; at a minimum, the ability to understand and be understood to all Spanish speaking individuals


• Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals and apply accounting principles.


• Must be able to obtain and retain a license from the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; perform repetitive motions with fingers while using a calculator and other equipment and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to thirty (30) pounds. The work environment includes office, meeting rooms and casino. This position is exposed to closed spaces, artificial light, loud noise and second-hand smoke.
